He said that approximately ₹43,565 crore has been proposed for new schemes, while over ₹2 lakh crore has been earmarked for capital expenditure, which will boost employment and growth through construction projects.

Yogi said that this is his government’s 10th budget and the first time a Chief Minister has had the opportunity to present the budget for the tenth consecutive time. He claimed that no new taxes have been imposed in the state in the last nine years. Effective control over tax evasion and fiscal discipline have established Uttar Pradesh as a ‘revenue-plus’ state.

He said that a favorable investment environment has been created in the state. Investment proposals worth over ₹50 lakh crore have been received so far. Improved law and order and security guarantees have increased the confidence of investors and the general public.

Referring to advancements in the technological sector, the Chief Minister announced that a State Data Authority will be established in the state.

Data center clusters will be established for emerging technologies, and an AI mission will also be launched. He said that Uttar Pradesh is rapidly progressing towards becoming a technology-rich state.

Speaking on the agriculture sector, Yogi said that efforts are being made to transform farmers into entrepreneurs. Irrigation capacity has been increased through diesel pump sets, and farmers are also being provided the benefits of the PM Kusum Yojana. The modernization of 44 sugar mills in the state has created approximately 1 million jobs.

He said that various clusters are being established for women’s empowerment, including in Kashi and Mirzapur, among other areas. The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has resolved to develop itself as an ‘Achievers State,’ and this budget is a strong step in that direction.
It is noteworthy that the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh presented a budget of ₹9,12,696 crore for the financial year 2026-2027. In his budget speech, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that this budget reflects the government’s commitment to the state’s holistic, balanced, and infrastructure-led development.

The Finance Minister informed that Uttar Pradesh has secured the first position among the land-locked states of the country in the Export Preparedness Index-2024 released by NITI Aayog in January 2026, which is a testimony to the export potential and industrial progress of the state.
